Short version:
A top scientist in U.S. government employ, whose resume includes stints at the Pentagon and in NASA and who has had access to high-value classified technical information, was asked by an FBI undercover agent purporting to be an Israeli agent, to provide him with classified information.
The scientist agreed.
The scientist is now under arrest. If convicted he faces a possible life sentence.
Moral of the story: don't do it.
The scientist in this story must be quite a sharp guy in many ways, but he wasn't thinking very clearly in this instance.
