Not sure if there's a thread for this already, looked but didn't see it.

This is a good video illustrating how the Communists indoctrinate captive students with Leftist thought.

By the way, is is possible to add video embedding capability to this forum?

This video (90 minutes in 10 parts on youtube) is another expose of thought control on our campuses.

It is a well produced documentary called "Indoctrinate U"

I have seen these methods employed already... yep

This is good and this is why, no matter the President, there is no set Presidential seat of permanence. A permanent whole church principle is rife with flaws, which, if maintained, will condemn it. Each succeeding step should help recomplete. Instead a process of cultural weaning has occured and Bush was a very insecure man, apparently... and he were apparently pre-designed by the KGB to act that way through cultural demoralization back home which affected him.

Now, if we have no president, notwithstanding that farcical face in power which is virtualy dead, who is next in line? Pelosi? Biden? Same difference... the whole culture down the line has been weaned out of real men, leadership has been shot by the destruction of weak churches withing, but which were propped up from without to demoralize the rest in arrogant indispensability. Hence our accademia is rotten but well funded. A false health is maintained.

The period of Putin’s rule has been marked by a series of victories over the U.S. The most important of them was taking Russian Americans under the Kremlin’s control by absorbing the larger part of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad by the Kremlin-controlled Moscow patriarchate. The closing of the Russian service of the Voice of America is an unquestioned victory as well. Putin has managed all these achievements thanks to the personal sympathy of President Bush. Bush is said to have seen a soul in Putin’s eyes. But what can a rabbit see in the eyes of a boa-constrictor?

Because Putin is far more cynical, cunning and crafty than Bush. While Bush was brought up in a well-off bourgeois family, Putin used to be a street hooligan as a teenager. He became used to deceiving the rich boys very easily.

...

And the KGB officers do not accept relations of partnership. They recognize you only either as a collaborator or as an enemy.

....

Though this story would never seem convincing to us Russians, it deeply impressed Bush. Because he became a believer in his middle age and acquired the most heartfelt respect for religion. It made him decide that he and Putin had spiritual integrity.

“We are bleeding the same blood,” Mowgli, the hero of Rudyard Kipling’s fairy tale, used to say. Mowgli used this phrase even in relation to the boa-constrictor, Kaa. In the fairy-tale it was a sacred word of the jungle, but in reality, it is the key principle of KGB recruitment. The person recruited by the KGB should think that he has the same blood as his KGB officer recruiter.

....

Bukovsky: Yes. And quite another method was devised for the French President, Sarkozy. During our meeting a year ago, he told me the following about Putin: “A man who loves women and the beautiful life so much, cannot be a bad man!” But Putin doesn’t have the reputation of a womanizer at all. This theme has been thoroughly avoided by his propagandists. It means that this false postulate was invented especially for Sarkozy. Because Sarkozy himself is such a person. It is he who loves women and the beautiful life. Now he is sure of having the same blood as Putin.

This article seemed relevant to the thread. It also occurred to me, if the Soviet strategy is to induce a lack of patriotism, promiscuity, lack of pride in American values, shouldn't we be doing the exact opposite? It brings into clearer focus why they concentrate on certain individuals who emphasize American patriotism. Ideas are more dangerous than anything to them, especially allegiance to America. Ideological subversion is an active process of brainwashing individuals to think certain things, believe certain ideas. It seems to me the U.S. should be actively fighting this with themes of patriotism and pride in American ideals and values.

Yuri Bezmenov was a KGB officer who defected nearly three decades ago. In 1985 he gave an interview that can be viewed online. What he said is worth hearing. According to Bezmenonv, “Only about 15 percent of [the KGBs] time, money and manpower was spent on espionage as such. The other 85 percent was a slow process [of] … ideological subversion or active measures … or psychological warfare. What it basically means is to change the perception of reality of every American to such an extent that in spite of the abundance of information no one is able to come to sensible conclusions in the interest of defending themselves….”

Bezmenov referred to “a great brainwashing process which goes very slow and is divided into four basic stages, the first one being demoralization….” Here we find a generational process, which takes from 15 to 20 years. To understand the concept of demoralization, let us turn to Robert Greene’s The 33 Strategies of War, Chapter 7: “The secret to motivating people and maintaining their morale is to get them to think less about themselves and more about the group.” In military affairs an army is demoralized the instant the individual soldier thinks only of himself. At that moment, the soldiers begin to run from the battle and the army dissolves. There is no resistance possible when each soldier looks only to his own safety.

If you want to lead a strong army or build a strong nation, you want your people to develop group cohesion or “togetherness.” According to Greene, “That is when you start thinking about morale – about finding a way to motivate your troops and forge them into a group.” In terms of warfare, motivation is not about rewards and punishments. You have to make people feel the worthiness of their cause, and you must give them a sense of belonging to the army or nation that they are defending. As Greene explains, “They soon begin to link their own success to the group’s; their own interests and the larger interests coincide. In this kind of army, people know that selfish behavior will disgrace them in the eyes of their companions. They become attuned to a kind of group conscience.” And as it happens, this conscience is contagious. It is also very powerful.

Therefore, it may be said that the “demoralization” of a country is a process of encouraging shameful behavior, of encouraging desertion and the abandonment of the national cause and the nation itself. When Yuri Bezmenov says that the first stage in “ideological subversion” is demoralization, he is talking about a very sophisticated strategy. He is talking about a program for destroying the cohesion and spirit of a nation. In basic terms, an effective program of subversion ridicules or discounts the moral ideals from which a nation draws its strength. It is also useful to promote hedonism and self-absorption; to encourage anti-war sentiments and recreational drug use; or give money to Hollywood producers through intermediaries on the condition that they put more sex and violence in American movies.

According to Bezmenov the KGB of the USSR pumped Communist ideology into three generations of American students. The universities and schools were infiltrated, the curriculum was changed, and a disguised form of enemy thinking was taught to American children. “In other words,” says Bezmenov, “Marxism-Leninism ideology [was] pumped into the soft heads of … American students without being challenged or counterbalanced by the basic values of Americanism – American patriotism. The result … you can see. Most of the people who graduated in the sixties, dropouts or half-baked intellectuals, are now occupying positions of power in the government, civil service, business, mass media, educational system. You are stuck with them. You cannot get rid of them. They are contaminated. They are programmed to think and react to certain stimuli, in a certain pattern. You cannot change their mind, even if you expose them to authentic information. Even if you prove that white is white and black is black. You still cannot change the basic perception and logic of behavior…. In other words … the process of demoralization is complete and irreversible.”

According to Bezmenov, the American educational system has indoctrinated many students with Communist ideology – under the guise of feminism, peace studies, various ethnic studies or general “social science.” To counteract this, we need a new educational program that inculcates common sense and patriotism, teaching the value of a unique American cause – in opposition to socialism.

If anyone should doubt the testimony of Bezmenov, I should like to end this article by quoting a former general of the Soviet Bloc intelligence services, Ion Pacepa. Last year Pacepa gave the following statement to interviewer Robert Buchar: “The whole foreign policy of the Soviet Bloc states, indeed its whole economic and military might, revolved around the larger Soviet objective of destroying America from within through the use of lies. The Soviets saw disinformation as a vital tool in the dialectical advance of world Communism. KGB priority number one was to damage American power, judgment, and credibility. As a spy chief and a general in the former Soviet satellite of Romania, I produced the very same vitriol John Kerry repeated to the U.S. Congress almost word for word and planted it in leftist movements throughout Europe. KGB Chairman Yuri Andropov managed our anti-Vietnam War operation.”

Yes, they really rely on intellectual and material opiate to sooth the opponent away from the Lion "uppers" and putting it to sleep, so that these jackals and foxes can devour it. They apply their predatorial trades on us.

As a result, these opiates have also very evil secondary effects, such as depression, paranoia and resignation. The ones on the plantation get jealous of whoever strays from it by becoming smarter and they quash him in collective jealousy, imposing their "social values". They have no conviction and want no one to have a gun or get convictions. They are terrified of collective punishment, and whoever has a gun will be immediately denounced in knee jerk reaction. Heck, denunciation is their way of life.

Stay away from the cities and "friends" like these, because this is how communists love to use them. Chechnya is an example of how they shot women feeding suspected Chechen men to death and how they tried to make it unpopular to stray from the plantation. In return women strapped bombs to themselves... just like in Bosnia/Kossovo.

Of interest to me is also the infiltration of the Church by KGB and crew.

Jeff's article above can apply just as well to infiltration of the churches of the West. Think about the sexual abuse that seems rampant in the Church - is this a result of KGB plants sent to demoralize and discredit the Church? I think it is highly likely.

The demoralization of America and the West has a two-pronged approach (at least) - the educational institutions, and the religious institutions.

A book has been published by Konstantin Preobrazhensky (a former Lt. Colonel in the KGB who defected to the United States in 1993) called KGB/FSB's New Trojan Horse: Americans of Russian Descent. Here's a short review from Amazon:

Preobrazhensky's book can be called a work of an investigative journalist who has studied the development of a church takeover with his own eyes, and comments on it - all this emanating from his own work experience in the KGB. For those who lived under the the Soviet regime, it is difficult to doubt Mr. Preobrazhensky's deductions. In Post-Soviet times, the Kremlin cannot any longer count on those who in the past sympathized and helped the First State in World of Workers and Peasants. Now the Kremlin's hope is that the parishioners of R.O.C.O.R. (Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia) could carry out the function of a fifth column, driven by nostalgic and religious feeling. And there are millions of them, all immigrants from Russia. --Novoe Russkoe Slovo, Russian Language Daily in New York

Preobrazhensky writes for the Centre for Counteritelligence and Security Studies (CI Centre), which can be found here.

He has written an article there called "Putin's Espionage Church" (link). Quote from that article:

1. Russian Victory Over America

On May 17, 2007, Russia has gained a historical victory over America. It has opened its province here, which is called the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Of Russia (ROCOR). On this day it has recognized Moscow’s superiority over itself by signing an Act of Canonical Community with the Moscow Patriarchate (MP). But in Russia the Church and state separated only on paper. In fact, the Moscow Patriarchate (MP) is controlled by the Russian neo-KGB state and has always been the pawn of the Russian intelligence.

Though a part of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Of Russia (ROCOR) has refused to come under Moscow’s rule and retained independence, many thousands of Russian Americans and their children are now nourished in the spirit of loyalty to authoritarian Russia, which is becoming hostile to America day-by-day. KGB-backed priests with Russian passports are replacing local clergy. Their churches have become insidious fronts for Russian state interests no matter how our relations evolve in the future.

Initially, ROCOR has been the Church of Imperial Russia, brought to the West by Russian émigrés after the Communist revolution of 1917. While the Moscow Patriarchate (MP) was founded by Stalin in 1943 for political purpose: enhancing patriotism in Russia and spying on the ill-hated West. In preparation of the seizure of ROCOR, the KGB has been infiltrated it for over 70 years! From 2000, President Putin has personally guided this mammoth KGB operation.

The entire article describes in detail some of the ways that the MP (Moscow Patriarch) attempts to maintain control (and by and large succeeds) over the worldwide Russian Orthodox Church.

Another article here details some interesting things regarding warnings from various sources (Golitsyn, Our Lady of the Roses, etc) about Communists infiltrating Western religious institutions. I found interesting the sidebar, which was titled "SIX SIGNS of a potential INFILTRATOR PRIEST." Here they are:

According to Our Lady of the Roses:

1. If they tell you that the words of the Bible are only stories written down by men, you will know they are false.
2. "If they tell you that it is better to believe what the theologians are saying now in 1982—in fact, saying in so little words that all the other theologians were stupid, know that they are not true. And that is a fact. The priest is not true.
3. 'Now if he tells you that you do not have to worry about committing a sin because God will not punish, He's an all-loving God, and as an all-loving God, He will not punish you for your sin—if that be true, then why was Lucifer cast from Heaven? If we cannot sin, and God will not punish us for our sins, why were Sodom and Gomorrah destroyed?...
4. "When a priest tells you that you do not have to speak up, out against homosexuality, because you are judging another person, and you should love your neighbor and therefore never set him up to be judged—you are not judging. If a person is doing wrong, and you tell him in a kind manner, a charitable manner, that they are committing a sin, and that they will lose their soul and go to purgatory, or even hell, that is not judging. You are helping and loving your neighbor. What is love?...
5. "Any priest that tells you that you must love your neighbor first and God second, he is not a true man of God nor is he a true Roman Catholic priest, nor is he a true minister of any denomination. Because the first Commandment of God the Father is: 'I am the Lord thy God, thou shall not have strange gods before Me.' 'Thou shall not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.'
6. "And if a priest, or a minister, even, has the dare to blaspheme himself and tell you that don't worry about sinning, because one day you will even be a god. And you say, 'a god?' If any of you have heard this, My children, you know it is true that many have become so arrogant that they feel that they are mini-gods, little gods."

-- Our Lady of the Roses, June 18, 1982

Liberation theology has had many books written about it, documenting the KBG roots of that teaching. I remember seeing a poster from Central America during the 80s of Christ holding a machine gun, attempting to merge his radical teachings (by standards of his day) with the radicalism of Communist ideology.

May God give wisdom and discernment to the true believers to watch for and expose the wolves among the sheep!

Interestingly, whereas Moscow pushed "liberation theology" in the post WW2 era, now they are more into a Stalinist - Fascist meme, promoting the Russian Eastern Orthodox Church.

To be fair, that aspect is nothing new, Stalin started it way back when.

But they have cranked it up several notches since the early 1990s.

I think I read that Bezmenov died in 1993 or something like that, but I think that may have been on Wikipedia. Honestly with all this internet buzz the fact that we haven't heard from him makes me think he must be dead, or else someone would have found him by now. I sure would like to hear anything he'd have to say.

It's interesting about Pacepa. My faith in him has been shaken a little, I admit. Red Horizons was one of the first books I ever really read on this whole subject, at least a year's worth of reading before finding Golitsyn, and I also am convinced by his Programmed to Kill. In fact, although it gets lost in all the fascinating details about Arafat and Kaddafi and Texas Instruments, "Red Horizon" was actually the name of the largest-scale deception operation Ceacesceau was involved in, and its purpose was to make the West and particularly Jimmy Carter believe there was some real disagreement between Romania and Moscow, when, as Pacepa repeatedly says, there was virtually no disagreement (except those that resulted from the clash of narcissistic personalities). So he supports Golitsyn's analysis in that respect.

Thing is though, he has written many times that the USSR's "collapse" was real, and prefers to analyze Russian realities as just one form along the continuum of Russian history stretching back to Peter the Great and his Oprhachina & etc. I can't remember the details, but at times he has seemed pretty insistent on this point. It seems odd. Especially since I've read Andrei Codrescu's "Hole in the Flag" about his return to Romania during the 1989 "reovultion," where even he - an NPR correspondant! - realized the whole thing was a disinformation operation to superficially liberalize the place.

I dunno. Probably any doubts I have are best explained by the fact that really no one who wants to be a respectable author who is regularly published in reasonable media can say that he agrees with or believes in Golitsyn's and other's theories.

I think the KGB had assassinated him, due to his strident message against Soviet deception techniques and trade/aid by capitalists to the communist world. A most unwelcome defector, as far as the Soviets are concerned. See article below...really weird.

VANISHING KGB AGENT LEAVES BIRCHERS IN THE COLD - DEFECTOR SKIPS OUT ON SPEAKING TOUR<
Syracuse Herald-Journal (NY) - Friday, November 9, 1990
Author: Gary Gerew Staff Writer

The shadowy world of spies and international conspiracies grew a little darker Thursday for local members of the John Birch Society with the disappearance of their featured speaker.

Yuri Bezmenov , a self-confessed Soviet agent who defected in 1970, was to have talked about how the United States is being hoodwinked by communist rulers into supporting their dictatorships.

But by the time his replacement, Hans Phillips of Germany, took the podium at the Carrier Circle Quality Inn to warn against the Common Market, the disappearance of Bezmenov a month ago had become the talk of the room.

RUMORS OF international intrigue have been sweeping the ultra-conservative grapevine since Bezmenov failed to catch a plane in Detroit on Oct. 1 at the beginning of a scheduled 30-city speaking tour.

``I think he may have been abducted by the KGB or murdered,'' said Harry Kellogg, of 264 Wayland Road, Lyncourt, one of the organizers of Thursday's speech. ``If he is dead, that will be the third speaker we've had that's died mysteriously.''

The first fatality was former Rep. Lawrence McDonald, who was scheduled to speak in Syracuse late in 1983. He was killed in September of that year when a Soviet plane shot down the Korean airliner he was aboard.

IN 1985, Willie Solice, an anti-communist youth leader from Costa Rica, was killed in his homeland shortly after addressing the local group.

``I don't really think it has anything to do with Syracuse,'' Kellogg said. ``It just seems the topics aren't to the liking of international communism.''

Wednesday, the story became murkier with a report that Bezmenov , 49, had been found in a hospital in Windsor, Ontario.

Donald Fatheringham of Appleton, Wis., the John Birch Society official who booked Bezmenov 's tour, said he heard about the hospitalization from society members in Detroit.

However, he hasn't been able to confirm the report.

``I'VE CALLED the hospitals in Windsor, and there's no one there by that name,'' Fatheringham said. ``I don't know what has happened to him at this point. The report of him being in the hospital is so flimsy, I don't know what to make of it.''

If Bezmenov has disappeared, it wouldn't be a first.

In 1970, according to the biography provided by the John Birch Society, Bezmenov was stationed in India as a representative of the USSR's Novosti Press. While there, he was ordered by the KGB, the Soviet secret police, to carry out various disinformation projects.

Bezmenov instead decided to defect and made his way to Canada, where he took up a new identity, Fatheringham said.

IF BEZMENOV is faking, that wouldn't be a first, either.

``I don't think he would do it on purpose and he's never missed a speaking engagement before,'' Fatheringham said. ``He knows we've rented 30 auditoriums, and if he did this on purpose, he knows we would never send him out again.''

Bezmenov has falsely claimed to be a professor at the University of Toronto and a television producer, Fatheringham said.

``He does kind of glory in what he does,'' Fatheringham said. ``He's a bit of a showman.''
