I thought about posting this on the “Eschatological Clarifications” or “Mark of the Beast” threads, but decided that it was an important enough topic to warrant it’s own separate thread. Over on the main forum someone wrote: “ I'm not sold on the TFP thing as there are some things that are not consistent with prophecy as outlined in scripture.”

As a long time member of this forum who believes that Bible prophecy and The Final Phase thesis can be fully harmonized, I obviously disagree. But I perceive that there are other forum participants who would agree with the above comment. If so, this would be the perfect thread in which to discuss our differences of opinion to this fundamental question, and perhaps reach an intelligent understanding regarding the reasons for these differences.

I’ve included here my brief synopsis of The Final Phase(TFP) thesis, as I see it; along with a brief discussion starter which gives a bit of insight into one of the reasons for my belief that the Final Phase hypothesis and the end of the age prophecies of the Bible are congruent.

The Final Phase (TFP) Thesis:

The Russians have a long-range plan to take down the United States. This plan, initially formulated by the KGB, began in the Soviet Era and was responsible for the ‘nicer,’ Soviet State under ‘reformist’ Premier Gorbachev (the architect of Perestroika). After the so-called coup that led to the ouster of Gorbachev, the plan has continued under the auspices of the leadership of the Russian Federation.

The testimony of former Soviet defectors, such as Anatoliy Golitsyn and Col. Stanislov Lunev, indicate that the Gorbachev’s Perestroika, and the subsequent 'fall of the Soviet Union,’ were staged political events, designed to deceive the West into thinking that the nuclear threat to it’s existence was past. In actuality, the men behind Perestroika and the ‘fall’ of the Soviet Union (KGB personnel) have maintained the reins of power in the ‘new’ Russian state. (Former’ KGB agent and once again Russian Federation President Putin is a prime example of such.)

NOTE: Jay Adams, on his “Spirit of Truth Website” writes informatively about Anotoliy Golitsyn, the Russian defector who made U.S. intelligence aware of the Russian final phase plans: “Anatoliy Golitsyn was quite likely the most important Soviet intelligence officer ever to defect to the West. Golitsyn worked in the strategic planning department of the KGB in the rank of Major until he defected to the West in 1961. In 1984, Golitsyn published the book “New Lies For Old: The Communist Strategy of Deception and Disinformation,” wherein he predicted the collapse of the communist bloc orchestrated from above. He warned about a long-term deception strategy designed to lull the West into a false sense of security. Author Mark Riebling stated that of 148 predictions made in New Lies For Old , 139 had been fulfilled by 1993 while 9 were clearly wrong. This translates into an accuracy rate of 94% as compared to the CIA which completely failed to predict the collapse of the Soviet Union. Golitsyn followed up “New Lies For Old” with “The Perestroika Deception: Memoranda to the Central Intelligence Agency” published in 1998, that overviewed how the collapse of Soviet Communism went according to plan."

The “Final Phase Plan" to take down the US, if it proceeds in optimal fashion, is to get the US to take down it’s guard (accomplished) and then embark upon a course of nuclear disarmament. This has not been accomplished as of yet, but President Obama is trying to implement it. http://www.nytimes.c...isarmament.html

In nuclear arms reduction talks the Russians will agree to significant nuclear arms cuts, but they would secretly hold in reserve a large nuclear capacity.

As the US agrees to and implements significant nuclear arms reductions, the Russians would be free to mount a nuclear attack,* one which would primarily target military infrastructure. Once US leaders realize they have been defeated militarily, they would capitulate to Russian demands. American cities will be ‘held hostage’ and threatened with nuclear destruction if we do not comply.

*Note: It has been made known that the Russian Federation is fully prepared to defend itself against a US nuclear first strike or counterstrike, and has deployed an effective anti-missile defense system to accomplish this end. (Col. Lunev has testified that this is the case.) Also see:

The fact that Russian has already deployed an anti-ballistic missile defense, means that the plan to attack and defeat the US could take place apart from the US engaging in nuclear disarmament, although a significantly reduced U.S. nuclear arsenal has always been the preferred outcome.

Once the U.S. is out of the picture, the Russians will have a free hand to establish a utopian, socialist/marxist new world order.

Mikhail Gorbachev, in a speech to the Politboro in 1987, summed up the major aspects of the Russian final phase strategy quite succinctly: "Gentlemen, comrades, do not be concerned about all you hear about glasnost and perestroika and democracy in the coming years. These are primarily for outward consumption. There will be no significant internal change... other than for cosmetic purposes. Our purpose is to disarm the Americans and let them fall asleep."

Now that President Obama had made clear his commitment to nuclear disarmament. we see the possibility of the Russian final phase plan being fully realized....

How Final Phase Plan Correlates With Bible Prophecy

I believe that the final phase plans of our adversaries will result in a future Russian and Chinese nuclear attack on the US. I equate this attack with the Red Horse and Rider of the second seal of Revelation 6.

Rev. 6:3 When he opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, Come!

Rev. 6:4 And out came another horse, bright red. Its rider was permitted to take peace from the earth, so that people should slay one another, and he was given a great sword.

The opening of this 2nd seal will result in a short “era of barbarism’ (detailed in the 3rd and 4th seals) that has been discussed previously in the “Mark of the Beast“ thread.

Rev 6:5 When he opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, "Come!" And I looked, and behold, a black horse! And its rider had a pair of scales in his hand.

Rev 6:6 And I heard what seemed to be a voice in the midst of the four living creatures, saying, "A quart of wheat for a denarius, (a denarius is the equivalent of a working man's daily wage) and three quarts of barley for a denarius, and do not harm the oil and wine!"

Rev. 6:7 When he opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, Come! 8 And I looked, and behold, a pale horse! And its rider's name was Death, and Hades followed him. And they were given authority over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by wild beasts of the earth.

These wars, famines and pestilences (perhaps the result of chemical and biological weapons) will produce a time chaos and despair, which, in turn, will ultimately result in the establishment of a global government under the leadership of the Antichrist. It is this Beast government that institutes the massive persecution of all dissidents during the course of the 5th seal. And it is this beast geo-political entity that is judged during the course of the 7th seal, 7 Trumpet Judgments (see Rev. 8:1 - 12:19).

Jesus predicted "wars and rumors of war," as being one of the signs that would precede his return. In effect, The Final Phase Plan itself, is something of a 'rumor of war,' and thus constitutes a fulfillment of his prediction....

If we turn away our support for Israel, so to shall God turn away support for America. Our future is tied with that of Israel.
Pray for family, countrymen and country, for I fear congress and our leaders have fallen asleep.

This is kind of a parenthetical post to the main topic, so for that, I apologize in advance.

Something I've run across recently is the idea that the coming war with Russia is the Gog-Magog war of Ezekiel 38 and 39.

This is only possible if the following is true:

1. The West is comprised of the "lost" tribes of Israel. This is not a popular theory, as the research that tends to support this idea has been widely misappropriated by Christian Identity and other racist groups. (These groups themselves are almost certainly infiltrated by agents of the enemy and should be avoided.) That said, IF (and in my view, it's a pretty big IF) the West, including the US and Great Britain, can trace their roots to the Diaspora of Israel (the 10 northern tribes that were taken into captivity and/or migrated to the north and east), then the attack on "Israel" by Russia (which is widely accepted as the attacker in these passages) could be interpreted as an attack on the West by Russia & Co. instead of an attack on the small nation of Israel (which, according to this view, is Judah, not Israel).

2. All prophecy of future events involving "God's people" either deal with Israel, or Judah, or the church, and each prophetic reference deals with only ONE of those entities, never two or all three. I find it very difficult to accept this premise. I do not think scripture supports it.

I only recently came across this research, which was largely done by someone called Steven M. Collins. He has written several books, the most famous of which is called "The Lost Tribes Of Israel, Found!" Since that book, apparently he has added to his research. But I haven't had time to look any further into any of it, and probably won't. It seems so "fringe" to TFP, and even to Biblical prophecy as it might relate to TFP, that I feel I can spend my time better on other pursuits.

However, if someone else has the time to put into it, or has already checked out this angle, I'd like to hear what you have to say about it.

I lean toward thinking that if the coming war is mentioned in prophecy, it is only in a general way, as when the riders of the four horses are sent out to cause havoc on the earth - Conquest, War, Famine, and Death.

You are right, friend. Scripture does not support this idea that American Christians are the real Jews. What groups like Christian Identity do claiming to be Jews is spiritual identity theft. Check out the letters to the seven churches in Revelation 2 and 3; specifically the ones to Smyrna and Philadelphia. In Rev. 2:9 and Rev 3:9 Jesus has some pretty intense things to say about those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. It is an awesome thing to be a Christian; that is enough. Besides, there are as many Jews here in North America as there are in Israel.

"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." (John 8:32)

"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children." (Hosea 4:6)

Greetings:

The short answer to the question of the compatibility of the TFP thesis with Bible prophecy is sadly...not really! Thus, I must disagree with your interpretations here...but they are wholly unBiblical. No offense intended...I seek only uphold God's word and His truth. The Book of Revelation is probably the most misunderstood book in Bible, but it need not be so, for God has seen fit to reveal ALL truth regarding His word and His will through the following end-time prophetic ministry:

-----

Spirit of Prophecy:

"As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began." (Luke 1:70)

"And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people. Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days." (Acts 3:23-24)

I pray all here at TFP will watch these lectures and thus be armed with the full armor of God's immutable truth as the last events in history unfold before our very eyes. Lift up your eyes, for your redemption draweth nigh! All glory to God, our Lord, Savior, Creator, and Redeemer!!!
