Walid has an amazing story. I also expect there will be some TFP-related surprises in what he has to say. Let's discuss it on Friday.

Walid did not disappoint -- it was one of the most fascinating interviews I've ever heard. The most striking thing about the interview from a TFP perspective was the total absence of anything TFP-related. That tells me that whatever the involvement of Russia and China in the PLO might be, it is well-hidden from the PLO masses and is a non-issue in the minds of the street-level terrorist. Russia may well someday end up in the same situation as the US did after 9/11 when our long-term arming and training of Al-Qaida terrorists blew up in our faces.
There is a new movie out, in very few theaters, called What the West Need to Know About Islam (or something similar). If you go to Spencer Interview on CSPAN there is an interview with Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch. He does a great job in the interview, discussing the film. Shoebat is also shown in several clips. You can either read the transcript, or watch the show from that link.

GRU would likely use false flag recruiting to approach the PLO. Of course, in terms of the weapons, Russia and China openly supply them via Syria and Iran.
I have to call you out on something.
You stated the US armed and trained AQ terrorists. That is a bunch of Left wing agitprop. While it is certainly true we helped a specific subset of factions in Afghanistan during the 80s, they were hardly AQ. AQ did not even exist yet. There is however evidence that AQ, Taliban and other things in Afghanistan 10 - 15 years after that, were actually Russian projects. No time to go into detail right now, others here have discussed what I mentioned in the past.

This hardly comes off as left-wing agitprop to me. It's the first link I got on a simple Google search for "bin laden us support". Technically, you may be correct that they were not known as AQ then, but we did support groups that later became AQ. That's all I was tying to say.

Did you read the Nyquist article I linked?
